The Electronic Brochure tells the story of MOSTCO and MOST Technology in a complete and concise format using pictures, animated graphics and audio. It is structured in several chapters.
The first chapter introduces general aspects of the technology and shows the different structures and applications that MOST can be used for.
Chapter 2, the "Network" section explains the different types of digitized signals that MOST supports and shows the principle of the synchronous data transport and the different transport mechanisms. It compares the transport to seats in the wagons of a train. Many are used for synchronous transport, others for asynchronous transport and some for control information.
Chapter 3 deals with the possibilities of even transporting Non-MOST data on the MOST network.
Next in line is the "Application Framework" section in chapter 4. It presents the principles and advantages of the MOST Application Framework by comparing it to a layer of mechanical building blocks that resides above the network and physical levels. It shows how the model layer is abstracted from the real-world layer and how both layers interact.
Chapter 5 explains how Standard Hardware Interfaces can establish communication between devices independently of speed grade or physical connection type.
In chapter 6, the brochure shows some of the advantages of MOST Technology from the perspective of car manufacturers, suppliers and consumers.
The last section, chapter 7, is about MOSTCO, its mission, its structure and how work is organized.
